The Ushering.

24 04 2013

I was driving around
the other day,
and the word ‘usher’
popped in my mind.

The ushering of spring
is here.
Green lawns,
freshly cut.
Beautiful gardens
with colors popping
out all over.
Trees with umbrellas of
vibrant
yellows
whites
pinks
and blues.

It’s beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful.

And I felt,
there’s an ushering
in my heart
that is happening.
So slowly.
Truth has leaked in
to some deep
cracks.
It is permeating these
deep places within.
I try to ignore it,
but it is becoming harder
and harder.
The soil is going
to be changing,
and a harvest will be sown.

I’m terrified.
It is a choice
that feels impossible to make.

“Sow for yourselves righteousness;
    reap steadfast love;
    break up your fallow ground,
for it is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.”

Hosea 10:12

But I am so happy
that He is so patient…

*sigh.
