40-second poetry

All creation groans,
from the core of the earth
to the stars lighting the way
for the Savior they know,
that made night into day.
The grass bows at your feet,
the lightening strikes with your might.
The waves crash in your hand
the snow blankets your earth.
All creation groans,
from the core of my heart,
and the depths of my soul.
My flesh craves earthly things,
but my soul also craves Thee.
This push and this pull,
between spirit and flesh,
to receive breathe is to lose
my life unto death.
I want to bow at your feet
heart humble and weak
It’s through your word
the truth that you speak…
[time’s up.]
