She is gentle in the words she speaks
tender in holding my heart.
I take hold of the compassion through her eyes
and her patience reaffirms her love for me.

Through the seasons… the Lord is so gracious in friendships. I have a hard time seeing it during the actual changing of seasons. I tend to focus too much on the changing instead of on the good that is coming in.

Because you know, all good things come from Him.

“Every good and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17

As my heart is being opened and searched through deeper and deeper;
looking for the root of sin,
I am so thankful
for the one who is in this season and that she is
so gentle and gracious in walking with me through this journey.

I think with friendships, maybe sometimes God uses people to show you a different side of Him.
In this season, I think I am learning even more about patience and grace. My heart is so stubborn and tough sometimes,
but His kindness leads me to repentance.

I am so thankful for this friend, and that she is walking with me so closely right now.
She seriously is precious, with one of the sweetest,
most sincere hearts that I know.
She is great at asking questions and challenging,
but also great at loving me while she directs and rebukes.

I love that she not only listens well,
but remembers.
(You see, I have a terrible memory).

I cannot wait to hug her in October. It’ll be a fun time together.

I love you so much Emmi, and I am so thankful for you in my life… thank you for loving me so well
and for being such a wonderful friend.
